BAHAWALPUR, June 25: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) will open about 200 new outlets during the next financial year in the Bahawalpur region, which will provide jobs to over 1,000 area people.
According to an area manager of the corporation, the target has been fixed following the government’s policy to widen the scope of the availability of essential commodities at reasonable prices to commoners.
In the beginning, he said, 20 regular and 10 franchise stores were expected to be opened during the next fortnight mostly in rural areas.
