PESHAWAR, June 25: The All Pakistan Minorities’ Alliance (APMA) has called upon the government to celebrate the religious festivals of the minorities officially and declare those days as public holidays.

Speaking to members of the Sikh community during his visit to Gurdwara Bhai Jhoga Singh here on Monday, APMA chairman Shehbaz Bhatti asked the government to hand over the administrative control of the places of worship of the minorities to members of the communities concerned and appoint a minority member as head of the Evacuee Trust Board.
