MULTAN, June 18: A three-day workshop started here on Monday to raise awareness among the officials of agencies on spread of HIV/AIDS. The workshop is being organised by the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis.
Actor Khalid Abbas Dar said the workshop would ensure prevention of disease among migrant workers. He appreciated the NACP for spreading awareness among the masses about the HIV/AIDS.
Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment deputy director Rana Matloob spoke on the role of the bureau in the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
Actors Qavi Khan said at a press conference that play Zra Si Bhool would be staged to inform people about the HIV/AIDS.
They said the play would be presented at Multan Arts Council for three days and the entry would be free.
They criticised excise department for demanding an NOC and arts council resident director Muhammad Ali Wasti for his non-cooperation. — Correspondent
