PESHAWAR, June 11: Apropos of a news item appearing in Dawn on May 16 under the headline, `Girls’ institute without woman warden, building’, the administration of the Government Institute for the Blind (Girls), Peshawar, has clarified that the warden’s position was not included in the PC-I.

The institute said four maids, a watchman and a caretaker stay at the institute day and night to look after the affairs of the students. It denied the MMA government had abolished the post of the music teacher.

The institute has a vehicle for emergency duty and the students are provided medical cover in collaboration with health services providers, the administration said.
