KOHAT, June 10: A strike was observed in the Lachi town on Sunday in protest against the non-supply of natural gas from nearby gas fields.

Protesters warned that if their demands were not met soon, they would occupy the offices of the Hungarian MOL company in Kohat.

A protest meeting was held in the area’s main market, which was addressed by former MPA Iftikharuddin Khattak, among others. Speakers criticised legislators from the area and said they had made false promises and urged them to resign from the provincial the national assemblies.
