MIRPURKHAS June 4: Agriculturists advised growers at a seminar on Monday to remove unnecessary wild herbs and diseased plants from their field in time in order to prevent spread of a major bug attack.

They said at the seminar on "Attack of mealy bug disease on cotton" organised by the Agriculture Extension Department at C-Potho farm, Sindhri taluka that the growers should adopt preventive measures by visiting their field daily and pull out any diseased plant they found among their crop. Sindhri Taluka Nazim Sarfaraz Junejo stressed the need for holding such seminars for the benefit of growers.
