PESHAWAR, May 24: The Sarhad Tourism Corporation (STC) will develop some parks in the province in order to promote tourism, according to officials.

“The NWFP government has given an approval for construction and development of parks in Abbottabad, Karak and Bannu to encourage tourism and recreational activities in the province,” officials in the STC said on Thursday.

They added that a tourist information centre would be established near the Lowari tunnel. A site has been approved for the project and the district government Upper Dir will give free land for the proposed centre, they added.—APP
