GUJRANWALA, May 21: A seven-member body of the District Public Prosecution Committee found the chargesheet submitted with it against Double Shah alias Sibtul Hasan Shah unconvincing and returned it to police with objections on Monday.

Reports said Wazirabad Saddar police had submitted the chargesheet with the committee which was scrutinised by its members led by District Public Prosecutor Fiaz Ahmed Warriach.

The members raised objection that the investigations should have been conducted by a joint team in stead of a sub-inspector alone.

They also observed that the witnesses and evidences quoted in the chargesheet were not credible enough.

The committee returned the chargesheet to the police, directing them that it should be resubmitted following removal of the objections. It was stated that anti-terrorism court No.2 would hear the case.

Boy released: A boy who was kidnapped about five days ago was released by the captives after getting Rs2.5 million ransom on Monday.
