NAWABSHAH, May 17: A hostel provost and six wardens of the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (Quest), resigned on Thursday to protest the university administration’s lack of action against students they accuse of misbehaviour.

Professor Saleem Raza Samoo, the provost, and others have submitted their resignations to vice-chancellor Professor A. A. Junejo. The vice-chancellor, how ever, did not accept the resignations.

Talking to Dawn, the provost accused the university administration of taking no action against students involved in immoral activities, and those who misbehaved with members of the university staff.—Correspondent
