SHIKARPUR, May 13: A group of people set the office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on fire early on Sunday morning.

MQM zonal incharge Agha Mohsin Khan said that office records, a television set, a computer, air conditioner, fax machine and stationery items were burnt in the fire.

He said that the attack might be a reaction to the sporadic firings in Karachi, which claimed scores of lives. It was a conspiracy to destroy peaceful atmosphere in the area, he said. —Correspondent
