MANDI BAHAUDDIN, May 7: Four married women reportedly attempted suicide in the district. Bashiran, 40, wife of Bashir Ahmad, took poison in Mauza Bhikhi Sharif over some domestic dispute.

In Mauza Jholena, Tabassum, wife of Sikandar Hayat, also took something poisonous for reason yet to be known.

Shagufta Naz, 25, took poison after a clash with her husband Shafqat in Mauza Sagherpur.

Misbah, 30, wife of Asif took poison over a domestic dispute in Mauza Wasoo.

All the women have been admitted to the DHQ hospital.

ACCIDENT: Twenty-five passengers of a mini-bus sustained injuries when the vehicle en route to Mandi Bahauddin from Gojra, went out of driver’s control near Kakowal bridge on Monday and overturned.

Sixteen passengers were admitted to the DHQ hospital while the others were discharged after first-aid.

However, no causality has so far been reported.
