MIRPURKHAS, May 3: Two sisters resident of Badin, observed token hunger strike outside press club on Thursday to protest against the alleged excesses of their husbands.

Fatima Khokhar and Bashiran Khokhar along with their children carried placards demanding action against their husbands.

The protesting women told reporters that they were married three years back to drug addicts who were now forcing them to establish illicit relations with other people. On their refusal they were subjected to torture.

They alleged that their husbands used to bring people to their houses in Badin, hence they were compelled to escape and reached the house of their brothers at Mirpurkhas.

They said that their dowries were still in the possession of their husbands.

They demanded of the authorities to provide them protection and get back their dowries.
