PESHAWAR, May 3: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has recovered Rs1.8 million from the Hazara circle in its ongoing disconnection campaign against defaulting federal and provincial government departments.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, Pesco said that during the campaign it recovered Rs1.04 million from education department, Rs700,852 from health, Rs26, 891 from works and services, Rs6,068 from DCO Office Mansehra, Rs2,619 from livestock and Rs2,459 from the agriculture department.
Pesco chief executive Brig Sakhi Marjan has directed his field staff to speed up the campaign and disconnect supply to departments if they led to clear their outstanding dues, a spokesperson for the company said.
