SIALKOT, May 2: Indonesian Commercial Consular Mr Yuyun Kamhayun has said that various companies of his country are keen on importing surgical instruments direct from Sialkot, instead of indirect import from Germany and America.

He was speaking at a meeting of businessmen at Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association (SIMA) of Pakistan here on Wednesday.

He was told that import of surgical instruments direct from Sialkot would cost cheaper to Indonesian companies.

Mr Yuyun Kamhayun said there were bright opportunities of setting up joint ventures between the business communities of Indonesia and Pakistan in different sectors. SIMA former chairman Amjad Ali Cheema gave a detailed briefing to the consular about future planning for the surgical industry and discussed matters of mutual interest.
