Bomb explodes at airport

PESHAWAR, April 28: A bomb exploded at the arrival lounge of the Peshawar International Airport on Saturday morning, but caused no casualty, West Cantonment police said.

An official said the low-intensity explosive device planted in an empty crate near a cold drinks shop in the lounge went off at about 6.30am.

The explosion damaged the shop. Personnel of the bomb disposal squad collected samples for forensic test and the Airport Security Force cordoned off the area.
