Gas supply to hospital cut

MIANWALI, April 27: Gas supply to DHQ Hospital disconnected for non-payment of bills worth Rs225,000.

The hospital management told Dawn on Friday that they have no funds to pay the bill.

It said they have been requesting the authorities concerned but none of them paid any heed to their problem.

The patients and social circles have demanded an inquiry that why funds were not allocated to the hospital to pay the bills.

Liaquat Ali Malik and Aslam Khan sat in a hunger strike camp on the occasion. Punjab Bar Council member Akram Awan said a complete strike would be observed on May 2 throughout the country according to the instructions of Pakistan Bar Council.
