BAHAWALPUR, April 27: Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has announced providing jobs to one each child of presidents and secretaries of the PML women wing of five tehsils of Bahawalpur district.
The chief minister made this announcement at the residence of MPA and district PML president Begum Sitara Fayyaz with whom he condoled the sad demise of her brother here on Friday.
The chief minister also announced a financial grant of Rs200,000 each to folk singers Parwana of AhNaseer Mastana and Jamil medpur East. He also ordered to construct houses for them.
Besides, he also pledged to provide Rs100,000 grant for the marriage of PML activist Shehnaz Begum.
Earlier, the chief minister drove to the residence of district PML president and district naib nazim Syed Irfan Gardezi and Punjab parliamentary secretary for home affairs Ms Bushra Gardezi to offer condolences on the death of their mother. MNA Syed Tasneem Nawaz Gardezi, who is the son-in-law of the deceased, was also present.
Later, addressing a mixed gathering of district, tehsil and union council nazims and lawyers at the local circuit house, the chief minister said the presidential reference against the CJP was being exploited by certain political parties.
He further said that some of the lawyers were exerting pressure on the judicial council to get verdict in their favour.
