SRI Lanka beat New Zealand by a comprehensive margin of 81 runs in the first semi final of the World Cup at Kingston on Tuesday. The winners will face either Australia or South Africa in Saturday’s final.

Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene’s 115 not out was the centrepiece of his team’s imposing total of 289 for five.—AFP
