Wajid carries bat but HBL in control

KARACHI, April 22: Despite a superb unbeaten century by Wajid Ali, Habib Bank were in command of their Pentangular Cup match against NWFP-Balochistan at the NBP Sports Complex here on Sunday.

Wajid carried his bat to score 131, which included 19 fours and two sixes, as the combined regional side was dismissed for 236 in reply to Habib Bank’s first-innings total of 315.

By stumps on day two, Habib Bank extended their overall lead to 196 after reaching 117 for two in the second innings.
