SHEIKHUPURA, April 19: An inspector and a constable were injured in a clash with prisoners in Ferozewala on Monday.

Reports said that prisoners Mansha, Azam, Irfan, Azam, Mansha and others were detained in a lock-up to produce them in courts. Prisoners raised hue and cry when inspector Waris did not grant permission to the wife of prisoner Shahbaz for meeting her husband.

To bring the situation under control, the inspector and constable Arshad entered the lock-up, but prisoners roughed them up with handcuffs.

Ferozewala police have registered a case against the five prisoners.
