DADU, April 16: People’s Party Parliamentarians’ leader Nisar Ahmed Khuhro stressed on Monday that the PPP would not make any deal with the government and would struggle for establishing a democratic government in the country with the help of people.
Mr Khuhro who is also leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly said that it was not possible in the prevailing situation that fair, free and impartial elections were held.
Talking to journalists at the residence MPA Syed Murad Ali Shah in Wahur village of Sehwan taluka after expressing condolence with him on the sad demise of his father Syed Abdullah Shah he said that Gen Musharraf’s wrong policies had pushed the country to constitutional crises and only a democratic government could extricate people from the crisis.
He said that the general’s wrong decisions had dealt blows to the constitution. The suspension of chief justice had already done considerable harm to the country, he said.
About Lal Masjid and Madressah Hafsa issues he said that Musharraf was responsible for the situation. Islamabad was not tribal area where he could forcibly impose his decisions, he added.
PPP LEADER: Pakistan People’s Party minority wing leader Dr Mahesh Malani said that if victimisation of Hindus was not stopped in Sindh they would launch a movement against the government throughout the province.
He said that the government had failed to control law and order situation.
