KASUR, April 12: A farmer and his two wives were kidnapped after being subjected to violence on Thursday at Chak 35 in Pattoki. Reports said that Ishtiaq Ahmed and his family members were present in their house when accused Azam and his nine armed accomplices came there and abducted his first wife Kulsoom. The accused were bundling her into a car when Ishtiaq’s second wife Shabnam tried to foil their attempt. The accused went berserk and undressed Shabnam after tearing to shreds her clothes and tortured her as well. The farmer was only a helpless spectator during the whole episode for being held at pistol point. Later, the outlaws threw both women into the car and escaped.
Ishtiaq was also kidnapped when he was on his way to the police station to lodge a complaint. After a few hours, the accused threw Ishtiaq in the fields outside the village. He was injured badly.
Police have registered a case against the accused and are investigating.
