KARACHI, April 10: The director general of Pakistan Sports Board, Salahuddin, on Tuesday handed over a cheque of Rs1 million as part of their grant to secretary sports, Sindh, for staging the ongoing 30th National Games.
This was the second instalment given by the PSB to Sindh. Earlier, they had sent a cheque of Rs3 million, deputy director general, PSB (tech), Akhtar Ganjera, confided to Dawn.
According to him, the remaining 20 percent amount of Rs1 million would be released after submission of expenditure receipts by the hosts.
Meanwhile, couple senior officials of the Ministry of Sports and PSB are in town to monitor the games.
