Pakistan relegated

LAHORE, April 8: Pakistan saw blackest day in its tennis history as they were relegated to Group-III of the Davis Cup Asia Oceania tie for the first time after facing 3-2 defeat at the hands of hosts Pacific Oceania on Sunday.

Pakistan started the final day with 2-1 lead but lost all the two singles to face exit from Group-I.

First, Aqeel Khan lost to M. Leong 1-6, 2-6, 2-6. Then Jalil Khan suffered 1-6, 0-6, 0-6 defeat to W. Nott.
