KARACHI: 4 sign-language books published
KARACHI, April 6: Four sign language books have been produced for the first time in the country. This was stated by Noor Ali Trust Chairperson Laila A. Dossa. The Trust runs the JS Academy for the Deaf, located at the Jamshed Town.
Ms Dossa said these books for deaf have been developed by the Sign Language Group of the JS Academy for the Deaf.
She pointed out this academy, which had a secondary school status, had been upgraded to college.
The opening of this college would be performed by City Nazim Mustafa Kamal at a function on April 7.
The JS Academy for the Deaf, which is functioning for the past three years, has an enrolment of 115 students from KG class to matriculation.—APP
