LAHORE, April 5: Robbers took away jewellery worth over Rs100,000 from a house in Mughalpura area on Thursday. Reportedly, two robbers barged into a house on Shahu Wali street, held the women inmates at gunpoint and took away gold ornaments. Police registered a case.
Similarly, robbers burst into Raja Asif’s Nawankot residence, held the inmates at gunpoint and took away cash, jewellery and other valuables.
Two armed motorcyclists stopped one Ghulam Murtaza on Johar Town main boulevard and deprived him of Rs350,000 in cash and his motorcycle.
Jameel was deprived of Rs40,000 and a cell-phone by two robbers in Kahna.
THEFT: Thieves broke into an electric shop owned by Noor Afzal on Ferozpur Road in Naseerabad, and made off with cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
In another incident, thieves sneaked into Ujala Bakers in Yohanaabad, Nishtar Colony, and decamped with cash, calling cards and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
Two gun-totting motorcyclists snatched Rs70,000 and a cell-phone from a woman, Farah, on Gulberg’s Main Boulevard.
STOLEN: A car was reportedly driven away from Shahdra, while a loader van was taken away from Model Town. A brand new motorcycle was stolen from Qilla Gujjar Singh area. —Staff Reporter
