KARACHI, March 31: Seven vessels carrying containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Sea Princess to load cement, Oel Aishwarya, Iran Hesabi, Calvin P. Titus to unload and load containers, Malak-1 to offload and load general cargo and Global Union to offload chemicals were berthed on Saturday.
Three ships, Soon Fu, Vancouver Victory and Eastmed Carrier departed on Saturday, while Calvin P. Titus and Oel Aishwarya are due to sail out on Sunday.
A total tonnage of 49,151 tons comprising 26,869 tons of export cargo including 6,972 tons of cement and 2,156 tons of rice and 22,282 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Oriental Bouquet to load ethanol, Aka Bhum, Corin Thaikos, Dimitris, Mol Asante, Independence Spirit and Norasia Alps with containers.
The following vessels are due on Monday: Lalazar, Shalamar, Rising Sun with crude oil, Stolt Ami with chemicals, Shanghai Pride to load 12,000 tons of rice, Lady Sama to load 5,000 tons of cement, African Karoo with steel and Banglar Mookh with 9,922 tons of jute.
