KARACHI, March 29: Mr Yaseen Anwar, a senior global banker, assumed the charge of deputy governor of State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday. Mr. Anwar’s appointment as deputy governor has been notified for three years. He brings with him a 33-year experience of international banking, and prior to assuming his new assignment, he remained associated with the Kraken Financial Group, London, as its executive vice-president since 2003.
For another post of deputy governor, Mr Mansur-ur-Rehman Khan has already been reappointed from March 17. Mr Mansur took over as SBP deputy governor on Nov 2, 2004, and completed his first tenure on March 16.
