Four members of gang held

LAHORE, March 26: The Lower Mall police claimed on Monday to have arrested four members of an inter-district gang along with looted valuables and illegal weapons. The accused had confessed to committing 60 street crimes.

A team nabbed ringleader Shakoor alias Shakoora and accomplices Kashif, Qasim and Jamal.

The police recovered jewellery worth Rs150,000, 25 cell phones, 10 wristwatches and illegal weapons from them.

They had shot dead a woman and injured her husband on resistance in Arifwala one-and-a-half months ago.

They also shot at two bus passengers near Sahiwal bypass. —Staff Reporter
