MIRPURKHAS, March 26: Deploring the blackmailing tactics by some people in the construction of a building for Gulistan-e-Mazoreen Centre, the PML-F leader Basheer Ahmed, city organizer Haji Gul Mohammad Memon and Khan Mohammad Panhwar in a joint statement said on Sunday that District Nazim Dr Sughra Junejo had approved this scheme under the Citizen Community Board.

They said that some vested interests first tried to blackmail the disabled persons and then were obsessive on damaging this welfare project.

They demanded the District Nazim and the DCO Mirpurkhas to take action against the accused and complete the entire formality for the construction of building.

RAID: A gutka factory was raided and its owner arrested in Kot Ghulam Mohammad town on Sunday. A big quantity of gutka and other stuff was seized.

The accused was identified as Zahid Iqbal Jatt and 5,000 packets of gutka and other materials were recovered. A case has been lodged against him.
