PESHAWAR, Feb 25: Under-staffing, lack of medicines, and overcrowding have made the lives of the patients of the Neurosurgical ward of the Lady Reading Hospital miserable.
A group of journalists during a visit to the most important ward found that conditions in the neurosurgery ward were pathetic.
A nurse there informed that the ward lacked important medicines. There was only one doctor for more than 500 patients in the ward. He too was busy talking on the phone as protest against the government decision to ban private practice by the doctors.—PPI
