Two perish

KASUR, March 25: Two men were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a truck here on Sunday in Allahabad police precincts.

Reports said the truck (JU-0957) was on its way from Phoolnagar to Pattoki. Near Heera petrol pump it negotiated a turn. In the meantime, a speeding motorcycle (LZL-9244) hit the truck from the rear. Motorcyclists Basharat Ali of Dhaea Fatehwalli and Asghar Ali of Balokey died on the spot.

Police are investigating.

INJURED: Three robbers shot injured driver of a tractor-trolley here on Sunday evening in Allahabad police limits.

Reports said Mehatban Khan of Bahgeewall Teba was on his way driving a tractor-trolley laden with sugarcane when the dacoits intercepted him. Khan accelerated the speed on which the robbers opened fire, causing serious injuries to him. — Correspondent
