MITHI, Oct 19: An 80-year-old man, Shafi Mohammad Hingoro, resident of Surhai village, Diplo Tehsil, who is languishing in the Mithi jail, has appealed to the HRCP task force to help him on humanitarian grounds.
He sent a letter through a well-wisher to the HRCP task force, Sindh, stating that he was arrested and chargesheeted by the Diplo police on the complaint of one Abdul Wahid for the alleged theft of millet cobs costing around Rs750.
He has appealed to the HRCP to help him on humanitarian grounds, to get him released from the alleged fake case filed by his opponents, who were victimizing him on political grounds by getting him implicated in fake cases.
Mr Hingoro has further pointed out in his letter that he had no relative who could help him, and if the HRCP wouldn’t help him his condition was likely to deteriorate in jail, owing to his poor health and old age.
He has also sent a copy of the letter to local journalists from the Mithi jail.
