DIRECTION: An additional district and sessions judge, Mailsi, on Friday ordered registration of a case against five nominated and 25/30 unidentified persons as a cross version in the humiliation of female teachers case.

Reports said that Ahmad Yar Acharwala filed a writ petition in a court alleging that a coach (1517-MDC) hit his motorcycle outside his shop and damaged it. When he and his son Muhammad Asif protested over it, schoolteacher Shahid Khan and driver Ghulam Murtaza got offended and started quarrelling with them. Later, they went away leaving female teachers in the coach and returned after some time with Ibrar Ahmad, Abdul Razzaq, Sheikh Abid Hussain and 25/30 unknown persons.

He alleged that they subjected them to physical torture, looted Rs27,000 in cash from his shop and damaged the shop as well. The petition further stated that the police were not registering the case under political pressure.

Meanwhile, it was learnt that Ahmad Yar Acharwala was quite fit on March 7 when he was arrested. But surprisingly, he became injured and was shifted to the THQ Hospital for getting a medico-legal certificate. After the issuance of the MLC, the police produced him in the court on Friday.

Local education circles have alleged that the police are patronizing the trader.

They questioned if Ahmad Yar Acharwala was injured during a scuffle on Wednesday morning then why he was brought to hospital on Thursday night. Ahmad Yar Acharwala is now under treatment at THQ Hospital, Mailsi.
