Bandits kill youth

GUJRANWALA, March 8: Three robbers shot dead a matric student on putting up resistance in main bazaar of Khiali Shahpur on Thursday.

Police said Awais was talking to his friends in the street near his house when the robbers came there on a motorcycle. They tried to snatch his mobile phone and opened fire when he put up resistance. The attackers escaped after killing him on the spot.

Later, the family members and his friends gathered there and protested against the killing.

Sabzi Mandi police have registered a case.

ROBBERY: An industrialist was deprived of Rs1 million in cash on Thursday.

Adnan Khan was on his way to factory after withdrawing the cash from a bank branch. When he reached near his factory in Tariqabad, four outlaws in a car (LZR-4267) intercepted him. They snatched the bag containing cash at gunpoint and escaped.

HUMAN TRAFFICKER: An FIA party arrested an alleged human trafficker in a raid on Thursday.

The FIA received secret information that Ghulam Abbas was present in his house in Mandi Bahauddin. They raided his house and arrested him.

Police claimed that the accused extorted heavy amount from people to send them abroad but he neither sent them abroad nor returned their money.
