MIRPURKHAS, March 5: Speakers at a seminar have stressed the need for a joint struggle for the restoration of Sindh’s rights. The seminar was held on Sunday under the aegis of Council for All Under-privileged Segments Eminence (CAUSE), on the topic of students politics.

Speaking on the occasion, chairman of the Cause, Asghar Narejo, admitted that from 1990 onwards student leaders had been involved in corruption. He said that nowadays personal interest prevailed over sincerity and devotion.

Manzoor Memon of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, referring to March 4, said that Sindhi students in the past had offered sacrifices against dictators such as Ayub Khan.

President of Awami Tehrik Mirpurkhas Mir Mushtaq Talpur lamented that educational institutions were dominated by some violent groups.

Kanji Ranomal, coordinator of HRCP, said that in the past students had struggled for national and democratic rights.
