HAFIZABAD, March 1: A labourer died after he was forcibly thrown into a cauldron which is used to fricassee rice in a mill on Thursday.

Rice exporters Zubair, Ilyas and Qaiser, three brothers, suspected that Ghulam Ali, a labourer in their mill, had stolen rice sacks. Ghulam Ali, along with his brother, visited the bosses to clarify their position but both parties exchanged hot words. The proprietors threw Ghulam Ali in a cauldron in which he died.

The police registered a case against the three brothers.
