Musharraf warns outsiders

LARKANA, Feb 28: President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday warned ‘outsiders’ hiding in the mountains of the NWFP to at once leave the country.

President Musharraf urged people to reject terrorism and sectarianism. “It is not Islam to kill a woman minister,” he said.

“People have come there from outside -- they are living in our mountains and spreading terrorism not just in Pakistan but in the entire world,” the state-run APP news agency quoted the president as saying at a large public gathering in Larkana. He said Pakistan was facing the threat of terrorism and extremism; though things were better in Sindh compared to the NWFP, the impact was being felt in the entire country.

“These people are putting Pakistan in danger. These people should leave and go; otherwise we will have to deal with them and we are dealing with them,” he said.

“Identify and point out those who have such tendencies and inform the law-enforcement agencies,” he said.
