Constable among five killed in Karachi

KARACHI, Feb 28: Five people, one of them a policeman, were killed in different parts of the city on Wednesday. Police said constable Allah Bux Brohi of Baghdadi police was shot dead near his house in the Singu Lane area of Lyari.

The body was taken to the Civil Hospital.

A 25-year-old man was found dead with his throat slit and some organs chopped off in a house near Nadia Market in Nazimabad-2.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The deceased was identified as Nisar Ahmed, of Kohat.

The bullet-riddled body of a man and a wounded man were thrown near Al-Mumtaz Coach stop at the Bazanjo Chowk in Kalakot. The deceased remained unidentified.

Doctors at the Civil Hospital said the wounded man received at least eight bullets in his chest, head and lower torso.

They said the 33-year-old man identified himself as Ismail, a resident of Baldia

Town, and told the police that he had been kidnapped in Lasi Para.

A 35-year-old man was shot dead by two motorcyclists in the Sohrab Goth police area.

Police said Allah Ditta was a resident of Noor Khan Goth and targeted near Brohi Goth.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Police suspected personal enmity behind the murder.
