LPDI project director Shujauddin Siddiqui and project manager Muhammad Atif were also present on this occasion.
Under the MoU, the TUSDEC will shortly establish a well-equipped computerised designing training centre at LPDI Sialkot in active collaboration with the business community. The centre will train industrial workers in advanced designing which will benefit the leather industry.
SCCI: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has criticised the recent 10 per cent increase in electricity tariff.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, SCCI president Sheikh Abdul Waheed Sandal said the increase would slow down exports, besides enhancing the production cost.
Mr Sandal said the decrease in gas rates would be futile in the wake of the increase in power tariff.
He sought more reduction in gas prices and urged the government to withdraw the recent increase in electricity rates in the larger interest of the public and the business community.
