HYDERABAD, Feb 21: A division bench of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit, here on Thursday issued notices to City Taluka Council Nazim Haji Moinuddin Shaikh, Hyderabad DPO Moazzam Jah Ansari, Sakhipir Police Station SHO Hassan Abidi, and Abdul Qayyum Pitafi, DSP, Phuleli, on a contempt of court application filed by 19 cattle traders.

The applicants claimed that Haji Moin Sheikh had written a letter to the DPO, Hyderabad, requesting him to disallow holding of the cattle bazaar of the applicants.

They said that in the light of the letter, the DPO directed the DSP and SHO to dispossess the applications from the cattle bazaar at Sangat Wah road and did not allow them to work.

They said that when the two police officers came to them they showed them the interim orders of the high court.

The applicants added that in spite of the stay order, the police were determined to dispossess the applications and were not allowing them to work in the cattle bazaar.

The applicants prayed the court to take action against them by attaching their properties and direct them not to commit breach of peace.

POLICE: The Hyderabad district police has established several pickets at shopping centres and other sensitive places to check any untoward incident on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

Special arrangements have also been made at the Eid Gahs and an intelligence network has been set up to keep an eye on the criminals.
