Dollar falls

LONDON, Feb 27: The European single currency hit its highest level against the dollar since the start of 2007 on Tuesday following the publication of mixed economic data in the United States, analysts said.

The euro climbed to $1.3256 in late European trading, from $1.3185 late in New York on Monday. That was the euro’s highest level against the US unit since January 3.

The dollar fell to 118.56 yen, from 120.59 yen on Monday.

On the London Bullion Market, the price of gold dipped to $676.20 per ounce, from $685.75 late on Monday.—AFP
