LAHORE,Feb 25: The Punjab government imposed complete ban on Basant after Sunday (Feb 25) midnight. Home Secretary Khushro Pervaiz Khan told APP that the two-day festival had concluded and a complete ban on Basant stood enforced automatically.

He said that Capital City Police Lahore had been directed to take strict action against unscrupulous elements indulging in violation of the kite flying ordinance.

CCPO Malik Muhammad Iqbal told APP that all officers of the operation wing, including the SSP, had been directed not to spare anybody violating the kite flying ordinance.—APP
