GUJRANWALA, Feb 24: The Punjab government on Saturday sought a report from the prosecution as to why he had not filed appeals in the high court against the decision of accused Maulvi Sarwer’s acquittal in the past.
While the probe team also summoned SHOs and investigators of Model Town and Sabzi Mandi police stations for their defective investigation in previous murder cases of the accused.
Meanwhile, investigators said that the accused involved in the murder of Punjab social welfare minister Zille Huma possessed little religious knowledge and he seemed to be a religious fanatic.
