NOWSHERA, Feb 24: PPP leader Naseerullah Khan Babar has said that the NWFP government has admitted its failure by asking educational and other institutions to make their own security arrangements.

Talking to journalists here on Saturday, the PPP leader said the government should resign if it could not provide security to people as ensuring peaceful atmosphere was the basic responsibility of any government.

He said the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal government had deployed 10 to 12 policemen on the security of each provincial minister but the school managements had been asked to hire private security guards.

He said the MMA leaders got the votes in the name of Islam but the so-called champions of Islam had bitterly failed to fulfil their basic responsibility.

Mr Babar said that the MMA and PML should accept their failures and hand over power to the `true leadership’ of the country.

He said the rulers had deployed army, paramilitary forces and police for their personal security and left the people at the mercy of criminals and terrorists.
