NOWSHERA, Feb 24: Police on Saturday defused a 120-millimetre mortar shell found in the Badrashi graveyard here, officials said.
Explosive experts said that the shell was a leftover from the blast occurred in an army ordnance depot in 1991, killing over 12 people.
A shell had exploded in the same area about one year ago, which killed three children.
The officials said the area people informed the police about this explosive. An army disposal squad reached the site and shifted the shell to a firing range in the area.—Correspondent
