Multan, Feb 22: The three-day 767th annual Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya will begin here on Friday (today).

Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, caretaker of the shrine, will perform the ‘ghusal’ in the presence of Makhdoom Wajahat Husain Gilani, caretaker of the tomb of Hazrat Musa Pak Shaheed, Makhdoom Mureed Husain Gilani and a large number of devotees.

The district government has declared a local holiday on the last day of the Urs.

Police and Auqaf Department has made elaborate arrangements for the celebrations while eight schools have been vacated to accommodate devotees of the saint.

Civil defense and bomb disposal squad staff would be deployed at the shrine.
