PRCS to double volunteer base

ISLAMABAD, Feb 18: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society has said it would double its volunteer base besides increasing the number of first-aid trainers.

Th decision was taken at a meeting of PRCS provincial chairmen presided over by society chairman Saeed Ahmad Qureshi here on Sunday, says a press release.

The meeting deliberated upon various issues including reconstruction projects in the earthquake-affected areas and better coordination with the provincial branches. The provincial chairmen in their presentations briefed the meeting about their relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts and future vision.—Our Reporter
