KARACHI, Feb 17: Five ships carrying palm oil, jute and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Manchester to load rice, Mol Asabte, Bunga Terasek and Wan Hai-301 to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of five.
The ships, which departed included Y. M. Star, Calvin P. Titus, Kota Permai, An San and Al-Barakah, while Corin Thaikos, Bunga Terasek, Oel Victory, Wan Hai-301 and Sutra Tiga are due to sail out on aSunday.Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest as the total tonnage figure fell to 52,074 tons comprising 32,565 tons of export tonnage including rice, cement and clinkers and 19,509 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Pertiwi with 3,000 tons of palm oil, Khaleda with 7,716 tons of jute, Norasia Alps, Independent Spirit and Dimitris with containers.
The following are due on Monday: Hartati to load 2,400 tons of ethanol and Comoron Pride with containers.
