KARACHI, Feb 17: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and chemicals were accommodated berths at QICT, MPT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.
Meanwhile, one more ship carrying furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 80pc as eight ships, Maersk Arkansas, Multan, Master Nicos, Andreas-K, Fortitude, Bunga Kantan Tiga and Capt. George-L, were busy in loading and offloading containers, rice, edible oil, furnace oil, chemicals and iron ore.A cargo volume of 68,611 tons comprising 45,643 tons of import and 22,968 tons of export tonnage was handled.
Sailings were brisk as Gemini, Gaz Channel, Bunga Kantar Tiga, Maersk Arkansas and Multan left the port while Fortitude was due to depart.
